Smart Banners - Sharing on Social Media

Share the Smart Banners that you've created on Social Media platforms by following the step-by-step instructions provided below for each platform.

Note: This feature is available on the Premium, Business and Professional plan.


In This Guide:


Direct Sharing On Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (Horizontal Layout)

Once you have successfully created your banner, you can share the banner on the following social platforms directly:

  1. Facebook
  2. Twitter
  3. Pinterest

You will be able to update the banner post settings before sharing on the social platform as well, please remember to click on the "Save" button after updating for the changes to be reflected.

  1. Redirect URL - Customers will be redirected to this URL on visiting the sharing link.
  2. Opengraph Title - This will be the post's title when the review is shared on social media.
  3. Opengraph Description - This will be the post's description when the review is shared on social media.

Manual Sharing On Facebook (Vertical and Square Layout):

  1. Click on the "Download banner" button to download and save the banner to your device.

  2. Go to your Facebook Business Page
  3. Click on "Add To Your Post" button and select Photo/Video (bright green icon)

  4. Select the banner you have downloaded
  5. Click on the "Copy link" button to include the sharing link to share along with the banner you are planning to upload and share to track results.

  6. Click on the "Post" button


Manual Sharing on Instagram (Square Layout):

  1. Click on the "Download banner" button to download and save the banner to your device.

  2. As Instagram does not support the upload of pictures currently on the web version, you will need to upload the banner via a workaround.

    For Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge browser
    1. Open the browser
    2. Visit Instagram.com and sign in to your account. 
    3. Right-click anywhere on the page and then select Inspect (Inspect Element in Firefox) from the list of options. 
    4. A window with a random text will show up at the bottom of the page. There will be a small tablet icon in the top-left corner of the Inspector tool. In Firefox, that icon is on the top-right of the inspector tool. Click on the small tablet icon that looks like an iPad.
    5. The Instagram interface should refresh, giving you the mobile website, complete with the + button to create a post.
      If you don't have the post button, refresh the page and it'll show up. 

    For Safari Browser

    1. Open Safari and click on Safari in the menu bar at the top of your Mac's screen. 
    2. Next, click on Preferences and then select the Advanced tab. 
    3. At the bottom of the page will be a checkbox labeled Show Develop menu in the menu bar: Check it. 
    4. Next, open a new Safari window or tab and go to Instagram.com. It'll be showing the normal Instagram site.
    5. Click on Develop in the menu bar at the top of your screen, then go to User Agent > Safari -- iOS XX -- iPhone. The "XX" part of that will change based on the current version of iOS, but the option will remain the same. 
    6. Refresh the tab or window with the Instagram site loaded, and as it reloads you'll now find a + icon at the bottom of the page.
  3. Click on the + icon
  4. A pop-up window will appear. You may have to change the file type to All Files for the banner to show. 

  5. Select the banner and click on the "Open" button.
  6. Click on "Next" on the top right-hand corner

  7. Include a similar caption of "check out the link in bio" as Instagram do not allow posting on links in the post (Alternatively, you can choose to create a "Shoppable Post" instead to include the sharing link)

  8. Click on "Share" on the top right-hand corner

  9. Click on the "Copy link" button to include the sharing link to share along with the banner you are planning to upload and share to track results.

  10. Paste the link under the "bio" section in your profile settings.
  11. When you're done posting your banner:
    For Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge browser: Click on the tablet icon again and close the Inspector tool.
    For Safari: Change your user agent back to the Default setting to avoid viewing all websites in their mobile state. 

Manual Sharing on Twitter (Square Layout)

  1. Click on the "Download banner" button to download and save the banner to your device.

  2. Go to Twitter
  3. Click on Photo icon (first icon)

  4. Select the banner you have downloaded
  5. Click on the "Copy link" button to include the sharing link to share along with the banner you are planning to upload and share to track results.

  6. Click on the "Tweet" button
