Introduction To Visual Curation

Visual Contents such as photos and videos are useful for your potential customers to see actual products that you're selling to encourage purchases while providing a richer, more interesting reviews to share with customers.

Highlights of this feature:

  • Filter photos/videos with dominant colors
  • Filter photos/videos that include and exclude "person"
  • Create Albums that contains Instagram Photos & Videos, and/or, Review Photos & Videos

Connecting Your Facebook Account (Instagram)

  1. Go to Dashboard > Moderation > Visual Curation Instagram
  2. Click on the "Connect Facebook" button to connect your Facebook account (linked to the Instagram account) if you are using the feature for the first time.


Filtering Photos and Videos

One of the highlights of this feature is the filtering of photos and videos such as by dominant colors and/or by include and exclude "person".

Note: It's possible to apply multiple filters

Dominant Color:
  • No dominant colors yet - no dominant colors available yet
  • Colors (e.g. Black, Blue, Brown) - display the content with the selected dominant color

Persons:
  • Include Persons - filter photos and videos to display with persons in the content only.
  • Exclude Persons - filter photos and videos to display without persons in the content only.

Filters: 
  • Featured (Instagram only) - "True" to display only contents that are set as featured.
  • Date Upload - set "From" and "To" date to display contents uploaded at the date range
  • Media Type - select "Photos" to display photo contents only and "Video" to display video contents only
  • Likes (Instagram only) - display contents with likes greater or lower than the set number
  • Comments (Instagram only) - display contents with a number of comments greater or lower than the set number
  • Product tagged (Instagram only) - display contents that are tagged to the product entered in the "Product" field
  • Product tag status (Instagram only) - select "Tagged photos" to display contents that are tagged or "Untagged photos" to display contents that are not tagged 

Approving/Rejecting Photos And Videos

Instagram

  1. Once you have connected to the Instagram account, photos and videos will be populated in the respective tabs under Dashboard > ModerationVisual Curation  > Instagram
  2. Go to the "Pending" section

    Tab Description
    My Posts Photos and videos posted on the store's Instagram account
    Tagged me Photos and videos tagged to the store's Instagram account by customers 
    Mentioned me Photos and video with @store mentioned in the comments by
    Hashtags Allow searching for any photos and videos based on the #hashtags posted 

  3. Click on the " Reject" or "Approve" button under the Photos and Videos to reject or approve the content. 
  4. The approved content will appear under the " Approved" section, and the rejected content will appear under the "Rejected" section.
  5. The " Rejected" content can be restored back to the "Pending" section at the "Rejected" section anytime.

Reviews

  1. Photos and videos will be populated in the respective tabs under Dashboard Moderation > Visual Curation  > Reviews
  2. Go to the "Pending" section

    Tab Description
    Photos Photos uploaded by your customers along with the reviews
    Videos Videos uploaded by your customers along with the reviews

  3. Click on the "Reject" or "Approve" button under the Photos and Videos to reject or approve the content.
  4. The approved content will appear under the "Approved" section, and the rejected content will appear under the "Rejected" section.
  5. The rejected content can be restored back to the "Pending" section at the "Rejected" section anytime.

Automated Rights Management (ARM) (Instagram)

It is possible to request permission from the customer to reuse their posts.

Note: This is not required to curate any of the Instagram posts.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Moderation > Visual Curation  > Instagram
  2. Click on "Settings" at the top under the Visual Curation - Instagram title.
  3. Under the Instagram Automated Request Management (ARM) section, you can update the "ARM permission request message" and "ARM permission agree tag" field to update the message to be sent and the tag for your customer to approve.

  4. Once you're done, go back to the "Pending" section at Dashboard > Moderation > Visual Curation  > Instagram
  5. Click on the "ARM" button below the photo or video that you would like to request permission for.
  6. Follow the instructions on the dropdown, and click on the "Done" button once you're done for the post to be moved to the "ARM - Pending Approval" section

  7. Once the user has replied with the "permission agree tag" set on the message to approve, the content will be moved to the " Approved" section.


Tagging Photos And Videos (Instagram)

  1. Go to the "Approved" section at Dashboard > Moderation > Visual Curation  > Instagram
  2. Click on the "tag" icon at the bottom left of the content 

  3. Click on the "Add product tag" button and click on the product showing on the content.
  4. Enter and search for the product name on the content

  5. You can click on the "X" button beside the product name to remove any product tagged

Contents that are tagged as featured will be showcased before the rest of the contents on the Instagram Feed display widget. 

To set a photo or video as featured content, simply click on the empty "star" icon located at the bottom of the content in the " Approved" section at Dashboard > Moderation > Visual Curation > Instagram.

The star icon background will be filled up with orange if the photo or video is featured.

To remove a photo or video from being featured, you can simply click on the orange-filled star icon back to the empty star.


Creating Albums

For showcasing specific tagged contents on the display widget, you may follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Moderation > Visual Curation > Instagram/Reviews
  2. Select the photo and video you wish to include and check on the checkbox on the top right of the selected content.
  3. Click on the dropdown box at the top and select "Add photos to Album"

  4. Search for the gallery name to include the content(s), or enter the name of the gallery you wish to create and click on the Add to new album "[album name]" button.
  5. Take note of the album ID that you wish to display

  6. Add the following data attribute to the display widget codes: 
    data-album-id=""

    Example on Instagram Feed display widget:

  7. Insert or replace the existing display widget codes with the updated codes at the desired location in your template file.

FAQ

  1. Why are my approved media not showing up in the display widget?

    Usually, photos do not show up on the widget if no products are tagged to the media. Simply ensure that there is at least 1 product tagged to the media.
  2. I am not seeing the latest Instagram posts in the interface?

    There is a sync function available if you are not seeing the latest posts from the store's Instagram account:

    Once the sync is completed, all the latest posts will be synced into the visual curation interface.
